Static Assembly Analysis

When you display the assembly view for a hotspot or a static function, the VTune^TM Performance Analyzer analyzes and disassembles the static .exe, .obj, or .dll file associated with the hotspot or function.

The VTune analyzer analyzes basic blocks of code, assumes that the code and data are already in the cache, and displays assembly instructions, annotated with performance information.
